On Spot Mobile Notary provides professional mobile, in-office, and remote notary services in Cypress, Texas, the Greater Houston area, Austin, and surrounding communities. This page outlines our service policies, disclaimers, and client agreement.
By scheduling an appointment, requesting information, or using the services of On Spot Mobile Notary, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Nature of Notary Services
On Spot Mobile Notary provides notarial services only.
We are authorized to perform notarial acts under the laws of the State of Texas. These acts may include acknowledgments, jurats, oaths, affirmations, and other notarial acts permitted by Texas law.
On Spot Mobile Notary does not prepare legal documents and does not provide legal advice. If you require legal guidance regarding your documents, you should consult a licensed attorney.
2. Compliance With Texas Notary Law
All notarizations performed by On Spot Mobile Notary follow the laws and regulations governing Texas Notaries Public.
A notarial act may be refused if legal requirements are not met. Examples include but are not limited to:
- The signer is not personally present
- Acceptable identification is not provided
- The signer appears unwilling or unaware of the document contents
- The document contains blank spaces or appears incomplete
- The notary suspects fraud, coercion, or unlawful activity
The notary reserves the right to refuse any notarization that does not comply with Texas law.
3. Identification Requirements
All signers must present valid government-issued identification in accordance with Texas notary law.
Acceptable identification may include:
- Texas Driver License
- State-issued Identification Card
- United States Passport
- Other government-issued photo identification permitted by Texas law
If proper identification cannot be verified, the notarization cannot be completed.
4. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for ensuring that:
- Documents are complete and ready for notarization
- All required signers are personally present
- Valid identification is available
- The correct notarial act is requested

5. Appointment Scheduling
Appointments may be requested through:

- Request-a-Quote forms
- Phone calls or text messages
- Email communication
Clients must provide a complete and accurate appointment address for mobile services.
Prior to the appointment, clients will be informed of the estimated service and travel fees.
6. Payment Policy
Payment for standard notary services is generally collected after the notarial service has been completed, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Clients are informed of the estimated fees prior to the appointment through phone, text message, or email.
Fees may include:
- Texas statutory notary fees permitted by law
- Mobile travel fees
- Administrative or service handling fees when applicable
Apostille and Document Legalization Services
For apostille, authentication, and consular legalization services, payment terms may vary depending on the nature of the request and associated third-party costs.
These services may involve:
- Government filing fees
- Secretary of State authentication fees
- Consulate or embassy legalization fees
- Courier or shipping expenses
- Administrative or document processing fees
Payment arrangements for these services will be discussed and mutually agreed upon with the client before the service begins.
In certain situations, partial or full payment may be required in advance to cover government filing fees, courier services, or document handling expenses.
Once document processing has begun and third-party costs have been incurred, those expenses may not be refundable.
On Spot Mobile Notary assists clients in facilitating the document authentication process; however, processing timelines and approvals are determined by government agencies, consulates, and embassies and cannot be guaranteed.
7. Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least two (2) hours before the scheduled appointment time whenever possible.
Providing advance notice helps us accommodate other clients who may require notary services.
8. Service Time
Standard mobile notary appointments are scheduled for approximately 40 minutes.
Service time begins when the notary arrives at the agreed meeting location.
This time includes:
- Identity verification
- Review of documents for notarization requirements
- Completion of the notarial act
9. Wait Time and No-Show Policy
If the signer or required parties are not ready upon the notary’s arrival, additional waiting time may occur.
If the appointment cannot proceed because:
- The signer is not present
- Valid identification is unavailable
- The client decides not to proceed after the notary arrives
a reasonable travel or wait fee may apply to compensate for travel time and reserved scheduling.
10. Limitation of Liability
On Spot Mobile Notary performs notarial acts within the authority granted under Texas law.
We are not responsible for:
- The legal validity or enforceability of documents
- Errors or omissions in documents prepared by others
- Decisions made by third parties relying on notarized documents
Clients assume responsibility for the content and legal sufficiency of their documents.
11. Agreement to Terms
By scheduling an appointment, submitting a request, or using the services of On Spot Mobile Notary, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Service Policy, Disclaimer, and Client Agreement.
